Statement to Client
Sometimes life is hard. If you feel anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or just stuck, you're not alone. Sometimes we need extra support to make sense of what's happening or to change patterns that haven't served us well. Maybe you're a people-pleaser and want to set boundaries or work on speaking up for yourself. Maybe you're struggling to a big transition. Maybe you spiral and could use more effective ways of relating to difficult emotions or the constant chatter in your head. Maybe you want to better align your life with what's important to you. If this resonates, I can help.
I work individually with adults of all ages. My style is warm and collaborative. Many clients identify as BIPOC, Asian/Asian American, LGBTQI+, 1st/2nd gen immigrants, and 1st generation college students. I use an integrative approach, incorporating person-centered therapy, insight-oriented therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion.
I really value your lived experience and input. Together, we’ll explore how experiences and relationships, thoughts, beliefs, and intersecting identities have shaped or limited your life. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, take away your inner critic's power, gain insight, and leverage strengths to meet your goals.
