Statement to Client
Most people who reach out to me do not lack self-awareness. Intellectually, you may already understand why you overthink, withdraw, people-please, avoid conflict, or react in certain
ways—yet still feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or weighed down by depression.
Why? Because our brain is organized to act and feel before we think (Dr. Bruce D. Perry, 2021). Intellectual insight alone may not be enough to change deeply learned emotional responses or
relieve the weight you’ve been carrying.
To bridge the gap between knowing and feeling, let’s work together experientially—helping your mind and body process what you already know logically.
My approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. Instead of asking, “What is wrong with you?” I want to understand what you’ve been through, how you adapted, whether
those adaptations are still serving you, and how we can make space for the parts of you that are ready to grow.
I specialize in working with clients of all ages navigating anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty breaking long-standing patterns. I draw from a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities—including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), experiential techniques, and person-centered approaches—while tailoring our work to your unique needs and goals.
I show up in session as a real human being—caring, attentive, honest, respectful, and fully present. Therapy should be a safe, collaborative space where you feel comfortable sharing the
parts of your story that may be difficult to put into words. I invite you to join me as we discover what’s possible when you begin to treat yourself with greater compassion, create new patterns, and build a meaningful life that feels authentically yours.
