Statement to Client
Welcome! It’s an honor to process your experiences, challenges, and the complexities of life with you. I will do this with empathy, and without judgement, because my first goal is to create a safe space that builds a trusting relationship with all my clients. Trust is the foundation of the therapeutic process. Once trust has been established, it’s my passion to help clients identify themes and patterns that continue to present challenges to their lives and relationships. To move you toward your goals, we will apply evidence-based interventions, like EMDR, OEI, DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness.
I work with individuals, and couples. I specialize in sexual challenges, sexual diversity, relationship challenges, anxiety, and trauma. I have a special interest in working with women managing perimenopause or hormone related issues, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
I absolutely enjoy my work as a therapist. With my background that includes being a hairstylist, a minister, a group facilitator, to a reiki therapist, and now professional counselor, I have decades of experience listening and asking questions that help others discover deeper parts of their unconscious. I do this with empathy, and sometimes humor. I believe the therapeutic relationship allows a full range of emotions to be processed and released. All parts of who you are is welcome.
